Minneapolis, MN . . . Anchor Wall Systems announces a breakthrough in retaining wall technology: The first true, positive connection geosynthetically reinforced segmental retaining wall (SRW) system. The Landmark‘ system allows efficient design and construction of walls up to 70 feet in height. “Over two years of testing and research went into the development of this new product. Unparalleled Performance
The key to the Landmark system is the patented Zero Normal Load™ (ZNL) positive mechanical connection system. Utilizing a polymeric locking bar and unique channel and locking flange configuration, the maximum tensile strength of the reinforcement geosynthetic can be developed, allowing an efficient design. This is accomplished at zero normal load!

An additional feature of this system is the locking flange and channel configuration that results in the upper block “locking” into the lower block. The result is greater resistance to overturning forces encountered during construction and throughout the service life of the wall system. Overturning capacities more than 3.5 times that of conventional SRW systems is the result. Shear resistance is also significantly increased.

Visually Appealing and Cost Effective
While the standard retaining wall appearance is horizontal, the Landmark system breaks the mold with a new vertical block face. Units vary in width and when installed, create a natural appearance with an “in and out stagger.” Various shapes are available to build inside and outside radius curves and 90-degree corners.

The Landmark ZNL connection system leverages the strength of reinforcement materials, allowing designers to use 100% of the design strength compared to conventional systems that develop 20-60% of this strength. Material costs are reduced because of the need for fewer layers and the ability to use lighter grade (and cost) reinforcement.
